Ok so once again Priceline is having a massive cosmetics sale that ends today so obviously I had to go in and pick up some makeup….obviously right? AND on top of this, Coles (a supermarket) is promoting half price off Maybelline and L’Oreal cosmetics…. well that definitely threw a spanner in the works. I didn’t actually know about the Coles promotion until I got to the gym and while working away on a bike I was scrolling instagram, well what should appear on the Maybelline page but a little photo informing me of a sale. I had already done my Priceline haul and was slightly annoyed that so many shades, especially lipsticks, had sold out. Thankfully the universe wanted me to have those products and sent Coles my way.
So yet again I have another little pharmacy (drugstore) haul to share with you. I’m pretty pumped to try these out. I have tested a few of the products and am pretty excited.

Yeah it’s just a slight haul… To be fair all these products are eye and lip based, aside from the body scrub. The body scrub was an impulse purchase while I was waiting in line. I had never seen this brand in Priceline before and was quite intrigued as the packaging is so fricken pretty. I can’t wait to try out the body scrub, I’ve been needing a new one.
I have managed to have a play with the Maybelline lipstick and lip liner. So far they’re both pretty good. I paired the lip liner with this lipstick as the lipstick is a true nude shade for my skin tone. The liner is slightly darker but not in a gross early 00’s J-Lo way. The slightly darker nude liner actually helps to make the lipstick stand out a bit more and gives you fake Kylie Jenner lips without the surgery.
OK so I am so late to the party on the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I mean every damn beauty blogger and vlogger has been raving about it for ages. However this is actually quite pricey for a pharmacy product so I’ve been waiting for the day it went on sale. And why did I get washable? Because waterproof is a f**kin pain in the ass to wash off. Seriously every waterproof mascara I have owned is like going to war when you’re trying to remove it. Even with eye makeup remover or micellar water…. the shit doesn’t come off! Therefore I chose the regular old volumising black mascara. I actually have quite long lashes so I don’t usually gravitate towards these types of mascaras but I have been dying to try it out, and for 10 bucks why not? Hopefully it stands up to my MAC mascara.
I love Rimmel eye liners! I have found them to be pretty darn long wearing and don’t move from my waterline. The brown shade is a repurchase, I still have one but needed a backup as it’s a bit old and running low. As for the white liner, well I have seen many many makeup vloggers use this on their waterline to make their eyes pop. Of course I tested this the minute I got in the car and it definitely draws attention to your eyes!
Believe it or not I’ve never actually done my eye brows. I’ve never used a gel or a pencil. The most I do is get them shaped by a pro and then pluck any randoms between waxes. I have been wanting to try out brow products but I’ve been scared to try cus my eyebrows are pretty damn dark. I mean they’re like dark brown caterpillars crawling across my face. To begin my journey into the world of eye brow styling I decided on going with a cheaper brand just so I don’t regret my decisions in life if this doesn’t work out. I did play with the brow pencil and it is a touch too dark but I think I was too heavy handed so hopefully this relationship will stand the test of time.
